Are You Missing "the Most Powerful Hour of Your Life"?
I’m talking about the first hour of your day. What you do then sets the tone for the rest of the day, and obviously each day adds up to the sum of your life. Remember that HOW and WHAT we think determines our actions. So, incorporating an “Hour of Power” in the morning can change you life!
A typical morning “Hour of Power” (which, by the way, doesn’t have to be an hour long) could consist of:
-5 to 30 minutes of MEDITATING, using any of various techniques, for example: Paced breathing through the nose for 5 seconds in and then 5 out in a smooth manor, or just watching your breath and letting any thoughts (other than watching your breath) pass.
-Reading with enthusiasm YOUR personal AFFIRMATIONS (ask me for a sample of affirmations).
-Reading and reviewing your short term and long term GOALS. Then write down 4 (yes only 4!) things you want to accomplish TODAY.
-Reading spiritual or uplifting positive content for 5 or more minutes. No newspapers, as it tends to be too depressing for this process.
-Do some stretching or exercise for 10 minutes or more, as desired. For example: Sun Salutations (Yoga), Chi Kung or Tai Chi are especially beneficial but so is a quick 20-minute brisk walk or sprinting as your time or energy allows.
After this, don’t forget to eat a substantial breakfast.
Practice this daily and watch your life change for the better.
